Cookie Policy

1. Subject and Data Controller

This policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies on the Wolvaro online store, powered by Shopify. Wolvaro determines the purposes of the tools activated on its store and acts as the data controller for activities under its control. It can be contacted at 10802 KINGSPOINT RD APT 403, HOUSTON, TX 77075, via openassist@wolvaro.com or at +1 325 710 3093.

Shopify provides the technical infrastructure and may process device identifiers and information necessary to make the store available. Other providers may only intervene for functions actually enabled and within the limits of the instructions or purposes for which they are responsible.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small set of data saved by the browser on your device during your visit. It can last until the browser is closed or remain for a defined period. Technologies with similar effects include local storage, device identifiers, pixels, tags, and tools that read or write information on your terminal.

These tools can be first-party, when managed within the store's domain, or third-party, when they depend on a different entity. This classification does not depend on the visible name of the cookie, but on the subject that determines its purpose and use.

3. Principles applied by Wolvaro

By default, Wolvaro uses only the tools necessary for the operation requested by the user. Unnecessary tools remain disabled until a positive, specific, and informed choice is made. Continuing to browse, scrolling the page, silence, or closing the banner does not constitute consent.

Accepting and rejecting unnecessary tools must be possible with clear, equally prominent commands without disproportionate steps. Refusal does not prevent you from viewing products, using the cart, or placing an order, except for the loss of the specific optional function directly linked to the refused tool. No consent is conditional on the purchase of a piece of furniture.

4. Strictly necessary cookies

Necessary cookies enable functions that cannot be properly provided in their absence. Depending on the page used, these include:

• maintaining the session and the cart;

• managing checkout and order status during the process;

• security, prevention of anomalous access, and traffic distribution;

• storing privacy preferences and proof of the choice made;

• consistent selection of language, region, or requested technical settings;

• operation of contact forms and page continuity.

These cookies do not require consent because they are used to transmit a communication or provide a requested function. Wolvaro limits their data and duration to what is necessary. The browser can block them, but in that case, the cart, checkout, security, or other essential functions may not operate correctly.

5. Optional functional cookies

Functional tools remember non-essential choices, such as interface settings or embedded content requested by the user. They are activated only if actually present and after consent when they read or store information beyond what is strictly necessary.

Lack of consent leaves the store's essential functions available. However, it may require you to repeat a preference or prevent the use of the specific optional content. Any provider receives only the data necessary for the selected function.

6. Technical measurement and analysis

Any measurement tools are used to understand in an aggregated form errors, page stability, loading times, and general use of functions. When a tool operates with identifiers, combines data, or allows the provider to reuse it, it remains blocked until consent is given.

Measurement comparable to a technical tool can be used without consent only if it is configured to effectively reduce identification power, produce aggregated statistics, limit access, and prevent cross-referencing or reuse for autonomous purposes. The term “analytics” alone does not make a tool necessary.

7. Profiling and behavioral advertising

Wolvaro does not assume the use of profiling or behavioral advertising tools just because the store uses Shopify. If such tools are actually introduced, they cannot be loaded before consent and must appear separately in the preference panel, with an indication of the purpose, responsible entity, and duration.

Refusal or revocation does not affect the price, availability of furniture, order execution, 30-day return period, or customer support. Shopify does not automatically determine the activation of advertising cookies on the store on behalf of the merchant; any integrations added by Wolvaro remain under the store's configuration responsibility.

8. Banner and preference management

Upon first access, the banner informs you that necessary tools are active and allows you to:

• proceed while maintaining only the necessary settings;

• refuse all unnecessary tools with an immediate command;

• accept all optional tools;

• open a panel to choose categories and, where appropriate, individual providers separately.

Optional options are not pre-selected. Closing the banner keeps only the necessary tools active. Proof of consent records the choice, the relevant version, date, and technical information essential to demonstrate it, without creating a further profile.

The banner is not re-proposed on every page. It may be shown again when tools or purposes change substantially, when Wolvaro cannot verify the previous choice, when the user deletes the preference identifier, or, in the absence of changes, after at least 6 months. A “Cookie Settings” command remains easily accessible to modify or revoke your choice at any time.

9. Duration and deletion

Session cookies normally expire when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies terminate on the date necessary for their function and are not kept indefinitely. The specific duration of each active tool must be visible in the preference panel along with the name, provider, category, and purpose.

Revocation prevents subsequent reading and writing of the optional tool. It does not always automatically delete a cookie already present on the device; the user can delete it via their browser settings. Proof of the choice may be retained for the period necessary to document proper consent management and to avoid presenting the banner again improperly.

10. Data collected via cookies

Depending on the tool, IP address, date and time, session identifier, requested pages, cart events, technical preferences, device type, browser, operating system, language, errors, and security information may be processed. Cookies should not be used to acquire special categories of data or to derive information about the home or furnishing preferences beyond what is necessary for the chosen function.

Data relating to measurements, furniture configurations, delivery address, payment, support, or wall-mounting installation are not collected via cookies simply because they are entered into an order. Such information is subject to the processing necessary for the user's request and must not be transformed into a profile via optional tools without a valid basis and specific notice.

11. Third parties and international transfers

Shopify and any suppliers actually activated may process data on infrastructure located outside the European Economic Area. Before enabling an optional tool, Wolvaro assesses the supplier's role, purposes, data, duration, and place of processing. An international transfer takes place via a recognized guarantee, an applicable adequacy decision, or, in exceptional permitted cases, under limited and non-systematic conditions.

Consent to cookies alone does not replace the guarantees necessary for the transfer. The user can ask openassist@wolvaro.com for information regarding the entity receiving the data and the applied guarantee.

12. Browser settings and device signals

The browser allows you to view, delete, or block cookies and set rules for individual sites. Deletion may also remove the cookie that stores the choice, resulting in the banner being displayed again. Total blocking may interfere with the cart, checkout, or session protection.

Preferences expressed in the store panel take precedence for tools managed through that system. Any technical objection signals sent by the browser are considered when they can be interpreted reliably and compatibly with the applied configuration.

13. User rights

When cookies or similar tools involve the processing of personal data, the user can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability in applicable cases, and object to processing based on a legitimate interest. They can revoke consent at any time with the same ease as they provided it. Revocation does not render operations performed prior to it unlawful.

Requests can be sent to openassist@wolvaro.com, specifying the device or information useful for identifying the data without transmitting passwords or complete payment data. Wolvaro responds without undue delay and normally within 1 month; if the request is complex or numerous, it may extend the deadline by a further 2 months, communicating the reason within the first month. It remains possible to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

14. Update and technical verification

Wolvaro periodically verifies the tools loaded by the Shopify theme, checkout, and effectively used integrations. A change that introduces new purposes or third parties requires updating the information and, when necessary, a new request for consent. Any potential invalidity of a part of this text does not reduce the user's rights or make tools usable without the necessary prerequisites.
